BeLov is built around your psychological data. We treat it as sensitive and use it only to match you with compatible partners and to power the private guidance Sage provides to you.
What we collect
- Account identifiers (email, phone if you verify it).
- Profile content you write (display name, bio, prompts, photos).
- Assessment responses for the instruments you complete (Big Five, attachment, relationship behavior, connection style, values).
- App-usage telemetry needed for safety, abuse prevention, and improving match quality.
How we use it
- To compute your compatibility with other BeLov members.
- To generate Sage's private explanations and coaching.
- To enforce safety, moderation, and Terms of Service.
- To debug and improve the product. We never sell your data.
Who can see it
- You. Always.
- Other BeLov members see only the public parts of your profile (name, age, photos, prompts, location-city).
- Vendors that operate parts of our infrastructure (e.g. Supabase for auth/data, Anthropic for AI coaching) under contracts that forbid using your data for their own purposes.
Your controls
- Edit or delete profile content from Settings → Edit Profile.
- Pause matching or go incognito from Settings.
- Delete your account permanently from Settings → Account.
- Request a data export by emailing privacy@getbelov.com.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. This holds for every category of data we collect, including the psychological-assessment responses, profile content, conversations with Sage, and app-usage telemetry described above.
California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA). Because BeLov does not sell or share personal information in the first place, there is nothing to opt out of today — but if that ever changes, an opt-out control will appear in Settings and a clear notice will be given here. To exercise any other CCPA right (access, deletion, correction, portability), email privacy@getbelov.comor use the Export My Data and Manage Account controls in Settings.
European Economic Area and UK residents: your equivalent Privacy Choices under GDPR / UK-GDPR are described in the "Your controls" section above and at privacy@getbelov.com.
